As a member of the Colliers Residential Maintenance Services Team, the Residential Maintenance Technician is directly involved in the operation and maintenance of the Saskatoon residential rental portfolio.
In this role, you will …
Provide Caretaking
- Move-ins and move-outs
- Minor maintenance
- Tenant maintenance/satisfaction; take calls, repair minor issues, inspect broken appliances, change batteries on locks, etc.
- Parking stall management and coordination
- Contractor liaison; fire alarm and sprinkler testing, gaining access, coordinating for tenants and access, checking work
- Monthly testing of emergency lighting
- Pick-up supplies as needed; brooms, shovels, cleaning supplies, salt, etc.
- Delivery of notices to tenants; cars moved, evictions, etc.
- Wall repairs and minor painting in suites as necessary
- 24 hours on call for emergencies/weekend on-call rotation
- Daily garbage pick-up interior/exterior, emptying bins
Preform Common Area Cleaning
- Once per week vacuuming of halls and stairwells
- Clean/wash front entry floors
- Clean all glass on doors and in entry way/lobby
- Clean elevator if applicable
Coordinate Leasing
- Take rental inquiry phone calls
- Show suites
- Communicate comments from showings for potential changes/decisions
- Some or all leasing duties may be outsourced to leasing agent as required
What you'll bring
- Grade 12 minimum, post-secondary education is considered an asset
- Professional approach and demeanor as a representative of Colliers in the community
- Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Experience in construction, trades, property maintenance and/or customer service considered an asset
- Excellent customer service skills to handle daily interactions with potential renters/customers
- Independent, self-starter, team player
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
