Permanent Position – Onsite
Reporting to the Manager, Hospitality Operations, the Hospitality Services Assistant supports the Firm’s hospitality operations, ensuring a polished, welcoming, and efficient experience for both internal and external clients in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role is a part-time position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up catering requests and refreshments for meetings
- Refresh boardrooms, along with water service, ensuring readiness for meetings
- Support boardroom configurations and ensure meeting spaces are tidy and well-stocked before and after use
- Prepare fresh salads, sandwiches, light meals, and custom orders, with attention to presentation and dietary needs
- Clean and organize kitchen areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashing stations
- Maintain kitchenette and servery equipment, including coffee machines, dishwashers, microwaves, etc.)
- Monitor and restock inventory of beverages, snacks, and supplies across catering kitchen, kitchenettes and serveries
- Assist with receiving, checking, and putting away food and inventory deliveries
- Clean and reset catering carts and service stations after events, returning equipment and utensils to catering kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times
- Provide courteous, discreet, and professional service to internal and external clients
- Perform heavy lifting as required during stock handling and setup
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple service requests
- Manage catering orders, inventory tracking, and internal communications
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Valid Food Handler and Smart Serve Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 1 year experience with basic cooking tasks, (e.g. ingredient prep, portioning, and plating)
- Previous hospitality, catering, or food service experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and internal ordering systems)
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift between 15-20 pounds
Pay Range
$40,000 to $55,000 per annum. Pay range to be commensurate with experience.
