We are hiring a Business Development Manager (Commercial Construction) in Toronto, Ontario.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Our client is a family-owned commercial general contracting company serving the Greater Toronto Area for more than 35 years. They specialize in Design-Build Contracting, Commercial Leasehold Improvements, Project Management, Pre-Construction Services, and General Contracting. Our reputation has been built on quality workmanship, integrity, customer service, and long-term client relationships. As our client continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to work directly alongside the owner and eventually take ownership of a substantial portfolio of client relationships and business development activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, landlords, developers, commercial property owners, and end users.
- Identify and secure new commercial construction and renovation opportunities.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, industry events, and relationship-building activities.
- Manage existing client relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Conduct site visits, project reviews, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, and operations teams to develop winning proposals.
- Maintain and leverage the company's extensive client database and CRM resources.
- Work directly with ownership to learn the business and support succession planning initiatives.
- Represent Taurus Contracting professionally within the commercial construction marketplace.
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, business development, project management, estimating, or related construction leadership roles.
- Proven ability to build relationships and generate business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction projects and industry terminology.
- Experience working with general contractors, developers, property management firms, landlords, or commercial real estate organizations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Comfortable working throughout the GTA.
