Driving Instructor – Contract Position
Job Summary
Cloud Driving School is seeking a dedicated and professional Driving Instructor to join our growing team. This is a contract-based position with per-lesson compensation based on bookings (no fixed hours), offering flexibility and consistent earning potential.
The company will provide a fully insured vehicle, which the instructor can keep at their residence. All bookings, fuel costs, maintenance, and insurance will be managed and covered by the company, allowing you to focus entirely on teaching.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping new drivers develop the skills and confidence needed to drive safely. This role involves providing personalized instruction, creating a positive learning environment, and preparing students to successfully pass their road tests.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and occasional group driving lessons based on student needs
- Deliver structured and customized lessons covering traffic rules, safety, and vehicle operation
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Prepare students for road tests through practice and guidance
- Maintain accurate records of lessons and student progress
- Ensure all lessons follow ICBC standards and road safety regulations
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Requirements
- Valid ICBC-approved Driving Instructor Licence
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, patient, and reliable
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Previous teaching or coaching experience
- Familiarity with Chilliwack and Abbotsford areas
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are an asset
