Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Production Coordinator to join our team. Based in our facility, you will play a vital role in coordinating production activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry standards. Overall Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production activities to ensure schedules are completed on time, efficiently, and with available resources to minimize downtime and maximize overall productivity.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, college diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with EPR systems for inventory and production operations (Sage X3 preferred)
- Experience working in and supporting cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong overall computer skills
- Excellent analytical skills, time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
- Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship required – must be able to apply for Security Clearance when required by company. Those on WP can not obtain Security Clearance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed production plans and schedules for various timeframes (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.) based on orders and forecasts
- Analyze demand, capacity, and material availability to ensure feasible production timelines
- Coordinate workflow between production, procurement, warehouse and logistics teams
- Track production progress and update schedules as needed and communicate the changes, delays, or issues to relevant teams
- Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments to ensure timely availability of resources
- Prepare, view and issue batch records to production ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with SOP’s and GPP requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the ERP system (Sage X3 - creation of BOM, Work Orders, and WO Tracking and other transactions as required)
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment (100% onsite position). Also frequently required to be on the manufacturing floor
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines
- Must be able to address various personnel and other situations as they arise in a consistently professional manner
- This role involves working in a cannabis production environment with exposure to associated odours and dust
