Alto Music Therapy is looking for a part-time music therapist in Moncton at the beginning of the 2026 school year, or earlier. Hours begin at 15-20 clinical hours a week with an opportunity for growth. This independent contractor will be required to drive to various sites and/or client homes within Moncton and will be working with neurodiverse school-aged children (age 6-18).

Alto Music Therapy provides music therapy services in partnership with schools, associations and individuals throughout the Greater Moncton area and beyond.
Candidate Requirements:
- Certified Music Therapist (MTA) with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT) in good standing or in progress
- Experience and passion for working with children in school settings
- Meets the musical and clinical competencies recommended by the Canadian Association of Music Therapists
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
- Creative and adaptive clinical skills
- Possess own instruments, including a guitar and a variety of rhythm instruments
- Possess own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Possess a valid criminal/vulnerable sector check
- Possess valid liability insurance
- Ability to conduct sessions in French will be considered a strong asset
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate music therapy programs for clients
- Maintain an active clinical caseload providing assessment, treatment and documentation
- Maintain professionalism, including abiding by all PPE regulations
