Folder Operator (Night Shift) - Markham, ON

We are seeking a detail-oriented Folder Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating folding equipment and ensuring printed materials are folded accurately according to job specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve production orders according to the daily schedule.
- Operate folding equipment and fold printed materials based on job specifications and work instructions.
- Prioritize urgent and high-priority jobs as required.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure jobs are accurate, complete, properly sequenced, and balanced.
- Remove all blank pages and headers where required.
- Complete and attach color-coded job tags as needed.
- Set up folding equipment, perform minor machine adjustments, and keep machines clean and in good working condition.
- Sign off and scan completed jobs while notifying the appropriate department when work is complete.
- Report quality or production concerns to the team lead or supervisor.
- Complete daily production reports and worksheets accurately.
- Follow all company policies related to health and safety, environmental practices, quality, and security.
Additional Responsibilities
- Place service calls and complete maintenance request documentation when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each shift.
- Assist with other production-related tasks as assigned.
- Cross-train in other production functions to support operational needs.
- Participate in team meetings and production communications.
- Report any health, safety, environmental, or security concerns to your supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating MBO or BAUM folding machines is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a digital printing or print production environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production schedules.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor machine adjustments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting deadlines.
