Duties
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and special occasion styles with precision and creativity
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles, and explain aftercare instructions
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health regulations and salon standards
- Upsell retail hair care products by educating clients on their benefits and suitable options for their hair type
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments efficiently
- Build strong client relationships through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat business and positive reviews
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques by participating in ongoing education and training opportunities
Requirements
- Valid provincial license as a Hairstylist or Cosmetologist with active licensing credentials
- Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and customer service within a salon setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively understand client needs and provide professional advice
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach
- Excellent organizational skills for managing appointments and maintaining a tidy work area
- Prior experience at the front desk or in retail sales is a plus but not required
