About the Role:
Join Edmonton's largest framing company as a Residential Carpenter, where you'll be responsible for constructing residential properties using panelized framing. This role involves erecting prefabricated wall panels, decks, stairs, and roofs into all types of homes all over the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adherence to safety protocols, quality control, and workplace policies.
- Ensure required materials and supplies are available.
- Measure, cut, assemble, align and install various construction materials according to specification and standards.
- Erect prefabricated wall panels, decks, stairs, and roofs.
- Read and understand blueprints and construction layouts.
- Maintain workplace safety standards and follow quality control procedures.
- Provide on-the-job training to others and participate in problem-solving initiatives.
- Load and unload equipment and materials, assist mobile crane operators.
- Handle general labor and cleanup duties.
Requirements:
- Skills with power, air, and hand tools.
- 6 months experience with residential framing or related carpentry.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and follow directions.
- Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for using tools.
- Exposure to dust, high noise levels, outdoor elements, and working at heights.
- Overtime as required.
