As a Construction Labourer, you'll work alongside skilled tradespeople to bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project site. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as framing, caulking, painting, and flooring installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
- Support carpentry, plumbing, welding, tile laying, and restoration activities as directed by supervisors
- Mix and apply materials such as paint, caulk, or sealants to ensure quality finishes
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to specifications and timelines
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience or a strong interest in learning the trade is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements
- Knowledge of construction techniques including carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills such as plumbing, welding, or construction painting
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards safety and quality standards
