Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team in the surveying sector. In this role, you will coordinate and support all aspects of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience coordinating projects. Experience in the surveying industry is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate quantities, timelines and pricing
- Maintain a database of costs and pricing for future reference and project comparisons
- Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of surveying projects
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines with the intent to drive to completion
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders
- Formulate contingency plans and effectively mitigate risks which may impact cost and time estimates
- Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide other related services as required
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards
- Support the management of project budgets and financial reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Final review of invoice before sending to client
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in project coordination within the surveying industry is essential
- High numeracy and competence in budgeting, and financial analysis
- Cost management, materials controls skills Blueprint reading
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
- Highly efficient organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Quantity Surveying considered an asset
- Strong understanding of surveying process, techniques, and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Proposal and costing software)
