This role is for a weekend Dietary Aide & Cook:
This role has a 2-week rotating schedule. Week 1: The Dietary Aide works Saturday & Sunday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; Week 2: The Cook works Saturday & Sunday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
36 hours bi-weekly.
Wage is $24.17 per hour for Cook shifts and $20.19 per hour for Dietary Aide shifts. Both roles have a shift premium of $2.25 per hour for weekend shifts.
The Cook assumes the responsibility for providing the main meals for the residents.
Responsibilities:
- This role is for the 'late' cook (9:30 am to 5:30 pm). The 'late' cook works as a team with the 'early' cook (7:30 am to 3:30 pm).
- Provide meals for the residents in accordance to the menu’s prepared by the Dietician and Team Lead.
- Participates in the planning of resident meals with the Dietician and Team Lead.
- Maintains clean, safe and organized work area.
- Ensures all food is presentable and appetizing in appearance.
- Performs general cleaning duties as written in the cleaning schedules.
- Attends and participates in general staff meetings and Dietary meetings.
Dietary Aid: Responsible for duties related to preparing and distributing food served to residents of Wynn Park Villa, also ensuring the pod area is tidy and dishes are washed.
Responsibilities:
- Follows safety, environmental and infection control practices as per facility policies.
- Read all memos as they are posted.
- Take note of weekly/bi-weekly duties posted in the pods.
- Ensure the proper meals are served to each resident (i.e. diabetics/allergies, etc).
- Other duties as required

Experience:
- cooking in Food Services: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safety Handler's certificate (required)
