Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Eavestrough Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining eavestrough systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior construction or carpentry experience is highly valued, along with familiarity with various hand tools and building schematics. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills in exterior building systems while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut eavestroughs accurately according to project specifications using appropriate hand tools.
- Install eavestrough systems on various building types, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Seal joints and seams with caulking to prevent leaks and ensure weather-tightness.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine installation requirements.
- Assist with related tasks such as flashing, downspouts, and gutter guards as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during installation processes.
- Collaborate with team members on restoration projects or other exterior construction tasks when required.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, and measuring devices.
- Experience in construction, carpentry, or roofing is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing installations.
- Familiarity with restoration work or exterior building maintenance is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and physical stamina for working at heights and lifting materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different job site conditions.
