Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and overseeing safety programs that ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act, Code and Regulations. You will work closely with all departments to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship and promote our Internal Responsibility System.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for employees within Workhub.
- Monitor, Track and Trend inspections to assess compliance with safety regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Health and Safety Manager to update current policies and procedures.
- Track and Trend incidents across 11 branches.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management.
- Provide guidance on the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Upload HOS logs, monitoring driving behaviours and violations, providing Driver score cards. Monitoring driving behaviours and violations, providing Driver score cards.
- Fabricate safety equipment or tools as necessary to enhance workplace safety measures.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry best practices related to environmental health and safety.
- Travel to different branches as and when required
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OH&S.
- Experience with AMTA or other certifying partners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information.
- Ability in training development to educate employees on safety protocols.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments to promote a culture of safety.
- Experience in Microsoft office suites.
- Must demonstrate clear proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Certification: NCSO and/or OHS certification preferred
