We are hiring 15 Machine Operators for direct hire opportunities in Burlington, ON within a busy manufacturing and metal fabrication environment. This is a hands-on, physically active role ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy working with machinery, steel materials, measuring tools, blueprints, and production equipment.
As a Machine Operator, you will support production across multiple departments, with final department placement determined after the interview based on your experience and strengths. Key Responsibilities
- Set up manual machine changeovers and troubleshoot machinery during production.
- Cut core pieces and build components and transformers using drawings and blueprints.
- Measure steel widths and material thickness, compare results to work orders and specifications, and accurately record findings.
- Load, package, band, and prepare steel products according to customer requirements.
- Handle heavy steel coils and materials while maintaining safe and efficient workflow.
- Follow health and safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements in a physically demanding environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire, permanent positions.
- Pay starts at $23.18 per hour.
- Pay increases to $24.20 per hour after 3 months.
- Pay increases to $25.22 per hour after 6 months.
- Pay increases to $30.43 per hour after 1 year.
- Annual salary range based on starting rates: $48,214.40 to $49,774.40 per year.
- Night shift premium: $0.75 per hour.
- Weekend shift premium: $1.00 per hour.
- 12-hour continental rotating swing shifts.
- Shift schedule: 6:00am to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00am.
- Candidates must be able to attend and successfully complete 9 days of training.
