Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers is a respected litigation firm dedicated exclusively to personal injury law. We represent clients in a wide range of matters, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall claims, occupiers' liability matters, long-term disability disputes, and other negligence-based claims. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Law Clerk to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for a law clerk with a minimum of three years of personal injury experience who is looking to further develop their litigation skills within a collaborative, supportive, and client-focused environment. As part of our close-knit team, you will play an important role in advancing client matters while pursuing ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Request, obtain, review, and organize medical, employment, rehabilitation, insurance, and other relevant records from healthcare providers, insurers, employers, government agencies and third parties.
- Review and summarize medical and documentary evidence and prepare document briefs for litigation files.
- Assist with the preparation and management of files involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall claims, occupiers' liability matters, long-term disability claims, and other personal injury litigation.
- Draft routine correspondence and legal documents, including requests for records, undertakings, productions, and litigation materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, insurers, opposing counsel, third parties, and service providers by telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Open, maintain, and organize electronic and physical client files.
- Perform document scanning, indexing, and file management using Primafact.
- Assist lawyers and team members with litigation support and file administration and maintaining litigation
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with firm procedures and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in personal injury law.
- Diploma from an accredited Law Clerk or Legal Assistant program.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primafact.
- Working knowledge of PCLaw is considered an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and empathy when working with injured clients and their families.

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
