Position Overview
In this role, you will provide support across a variety of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, performance management support, and HR operations. You will play a key role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly while providing exceptional service to employees and managers across the organization.
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 1-3 years of Human Resources, administration, or related experience. Previous HR experience is considered an asset.
Attention to Detail:High degree of accuracy when preparing documentation, maintaining employee records, and managing confidential information.
Organizational Skills:Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Communication Skills:Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills with employees, managers, and external partners.
Problem-Solving:Able to navigate challenges, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical solutions.
Tech Proficiency: Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, HRIS systems, and digital document management platforms.
Professionalism: Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive employee information with discretion.
Team Player: Works collaboratively and contributes to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and improve onboarding processes, ensuring new hires have access to up-to-date documentation, policies, and role-specific resources from day one.
- Lead proactive recruitment efforts including resume screening, interview scheduling, and leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn to attract and retain top candidates.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare employment letters and other employee correspondence.
- Assist with performance management processes and related documentation.
- Prepare disciplinary documentation, performance improvement plans, and other employment-related records as required.
- Support managers with policy interpretation and HR-related inquiries.
- Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including documentation, equipment returns, and system access changes.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Research and interpret provincial employment standards and HR best practices to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Support Health & Safety programs by maintaining documentation, coordinating training, tracking incidents, and assisting with compliance requirements.
- Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
