Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and other essential systems
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably in long-haul or freight transportation
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other loading machinery
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to freight transport and heavy equipment use
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, including lifting heavy items when necessary
- Excellent time management skills and reliability for on-time deliveries
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel long distances as required
Pay: $6,000.00-$8,000.00 per month
