Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Ice Maker for the 2026-2027 Northumberland Arena season. The ideal candidate will have experience creating, maintaining and repairing an ice surface.
This position reports directly to the Arena Manager & is subject to tender every 2 years.
Duties
- Operation of the Zamboni
- Build & Maintain a quality ice surface (scraping, edging, preseason ice)
- Monitor ice thickness, temperature, and refrigeration systems
- Perform routine maintenance on arena equipment
- Assist with arena set up and event changeovers
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the arena
Qualifications
- Knowledge of icemaking and refrigeration systems is required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safety
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Wage is dependent on qualification & experience
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
