Build the operating model behind one of Canada's leading industrial distributors.
Canadian Bearings is in the midst of a major transformation — one anchored in a clear vision, a renewed business model, and a defined set of operational imperatives. To shape the organization that will deliver on that vision, we've adopted capability-based modelling to configure our enterprise architecture, and we've selected the Blue Dolphin platform to design our capability model and then design the business processes that operationalize those capabilities.
We've defined what we need to be able to do. Now we need someone to make it real. We're looking for a Business Process Architect to design and roll out the new processes that bring our capability model to life — and to govern and continuously improve them over time. This is not a documentation role and it does not sit inside IT. It sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and strategy, translating where the business wants to go into how it actually runs.
Business Process Architect
Mississauga, ON
Fulltime, Permanent
What you'll do
- Translate our capability model into the end-to-end processes that operationalize it — designing, rolling out, and embedding new ways of working across the business
- Own our enterprise process model and repository — the single source of truth for how the business operates
- Design to-be processes across quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, plan-to-stock, and service value streams
- Use the Blue Dolphin platform to link capabilities, processes, applications, and data into a coherent enterprise architecture
- Drive measurable improvement against the metrics that matter: fill rate, perfect order, cycle time, cost-to-serve, and working capital efficiency
- Facilitate cross-functional design and improvement work with branch, warehouse, purchasing, sales, and finance leaders
- Translate process intent into clear requirements for our ERP (NetSuite), CPQ, WMS, and integration partners — without crossing into delivery
- Establish process governance and coach the process owners and champions who sustain it
What you bring
- Domain depth. You understand how an industrial distribution or MRO business actually makes money — gross margin layers, inventory turns, cost-to-serve, fill rate, and the difference between transactional and contract business. You know the value chain end to end.
- Methodological rigor. You're fluent in Business Process Management and Lean Six Sigma, and comfortable modelling in BPMN at multiple levels. Crucially, you understand capability-based planning and how to translate a capability model into operational processes. Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate) and EA tooling — Blue Dolphin in particular — is a strong advantage.
- Technical literacy. You can navigate a modern ERP, understand its data model and configuration levers, and partner credibly with functional consultants. NetSuite experience is a plus. You read data fluently and can instrument a process so its performance is actually measurable.
- The human skills that make it stick. You facilitate decisions, not just discussions. You communicate clearly with both the executive team and the warehouse floor. You think in systems, you lead change with patience, and you have the intellectual humility to revise a design when the evidence demands it.
Nice to have
- CBPP (ABPMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or TOGAF certification
- Hands-on experience with the Blue Dolphin platform or comparable EA / capability modelling tools
- Experience with process mining (Celonis, Signavio) or automation platforms (UiPath, Power Automate)
- Supply chain credentials such as APICS CSCP or SCOR
- Prior experience in B2B distribution, wholesale, or a multi-branch operations environment
