Play Onwards specializes in the installation of playground equipment and surfacing. Our services cater to equipment manufacturers and include the excavation and disposal of existing surfacing, as well as the installation of pea gravel and engineered wood fiber (EWF) surfacing. Based in Calgary, we proudly serve communities all over Alberta.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Playground Installer to join our team. This role involves the installation of playground equipment and surfacing materials at various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or landscaping, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Install playground equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Install pea gravel and engineered wood fiber (EWF) surfacing.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Perform site clean-up and ensure all work areas are left in excellent condition.
- Travel to various job sites across Alberta as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors.
**Qualifications:**
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or similar field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation instructions would be an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina; ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and a vehicle to travel from site to site.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
- A clear police information check will be required upon hiring.
