POSITION SUMMARY
NAMCO is seeking an Entry-Level CNC Cylindrical Grinder to join our precision grinding department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of CNC grinding or CNC machining experience who wants to develop specialized grinding skills under experienced mentors.
Training will be provided on our CNC cylindrical grinding equipment.
This position begins on the day shift for training. After successfully completing the training period and demonstrating proficiency with the equipment, employees may have the opportunity to transition to afternoon shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) based on operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up and operate CNC cylindrical grinding machines
· Read engineering drawings and grinding specifications
· Measure components using precision measuring instruments
· Verify tolerances, roundness, concentricity, and surface finish
· Load and unload components safely
· Dress grinding wheels when required
· Monitor grinding cycles and adjust offsets
· Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance
· Work closely with Quality Control
· Maintain production documentation
· Follow API Q1, ISO 9001, and company quality procedures
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
· 1–2 years of CNC machining or grinding experience preferred
· Technical machining education considered an asset
· Ability to read engineering drawings
· Familiarity with precision measuring equipment
· Strong attention to detail
· Good understanding of machining tolerances
· Willingness to learn specialized grinding techniques
· Good communication skills
· Reliable team player
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Shortlisted candidates will complete blueprint reading assessment, precision measuring assessment, CNC knowledge interview and a hands-on machining test during the interview to demonstrate skill level and performance
SCHEDULE
· Monday to Friday
· Standard day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
· During the training period, employees will work the day shift alongside experienced machinists.
· Once fully trained and familiar with the equipment, there may be an opportunity to transition to afternoon shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), depending on production requirements and business needs.
· Overtime opportunities are available based on workload and production schedules.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Pay: $25.00 – $30.00+ per hour (negotiable based on experience and performance)
