Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of our food service establishment by ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Prior experience in food handling, restaurant, or hospitality settings is a plus but not required. The Dishwasher plays a vital role in upholding health standards and contributing to a positive guest experience.
Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas and ensure proper storage of clean items.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning workstations.
- Support kitchen staff by providing clean dishes promptly to facilitate food service.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling procedures to maintain a tidy workspace.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper handling of kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
