Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles and industrial equipment, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery as needed
- Conduct repairs on farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other specialized equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and operate heavy equipment safely
- Assist in assembly and installation of vehicle components or industrial equipment when required
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or similar environment
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, and industrial machinery maintenance
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, welding techniques, and HVAC systems is highly desirable
- Experience with heavy lifting and the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment
- Knowledge of farm machinery, excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, and other industrial or heavy machinery is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in customer service roles within automotive or industrial settings is beneficial
