Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, take and serve orders accurately, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role involves both serving food and beverages, managing cash transactions, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Previous experience in the food industry, particularly with POS systems, is preferred. The Server/Bartender will play a vital role in providing an outstanding dining experience while maintaining professionalism and hospitality at all times.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including tables, bar, and workstations
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar or dining area as needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance guest experience
- Uphold food industry standards for hygiene, safety, and customer service
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
- A personable attitude with a passion for hospitality and creating positive guest experiences
