Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable truck and trailer or commercial car mechanics to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various types of heavy and industrial equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers and related machinery to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The Trailer Mechanic will work with a variety of tools and equipment, demonstrating expertise in automotive repair, welding, electrical systems, and heavy machinery operation.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, suspension, electrical wiring, and structural components
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers to prevent future issues
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other industrial machinery as needed for repairs or moving parts
- Conduct welding and fabrication work to repair or modify trailer components
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of trailers for repairs or upgrades
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair or heavy-duty repair
- Ability to perform heavy-duty truck and trailer sately inspection
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for repairs
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Experience working with industrial or heavy equipment operations is desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
