What You'll Do
As a Health Care Aide, you will provide compassionate support that allows seniors to remain comfortably and safely in their homes.
Responsibilities may include:
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Dementia and cognitive support
- Medication reminders
- Mobility assistance and transfers
- Meal preparation and nutrition support
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Companionship and social engagement
- Documentation and communication with the care team
- Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent recognized training
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification preferred
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clients
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supporting seniors in home care, retirement living, or long-term care
- Dementia care experience
- Strong compassion, patience, and professionalism
- A commitment to providing exceptional client-centered care
Bonus Qualifications: second language (french, spanish, hindi, tagalog, etc)
