Maritime Pride Eggs is the largest egg grading station in Atlantic Canada. We proudly grade, package and distribute eggs to markets across the Maritimes. We are seeking to fill a position in our Administration Department.
The Impact You’ll Make
As our Office Administration - Order Desk Clerk, you’ll play a key role in our order processing operations. This role is essential in managing order processing to make sure orders are entered accurately, customer interactions/inquiries are handled promptly, professionally, and important details are tracked carefully, also administrative tasks within a fast-paced office environment. You’ll also serve as the main support for accounts payable and a key part of the Order Desk Team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in various office software to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer support.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming orders via phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring accurate data entry into the system.
- Handle front desk duties including greeting visitors and directing calls using multi-line phone system.
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve order issues, and provide status updates.
- Process store credits and adjustments.
- Maintain organized filing systems for order records, customer information, and other administrative documents.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist with general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, proofreading documents, and review, process & distribute daily documentation to the team.
- Support the Controller with accounts payable, post supplier invoices, review statements and post in a timely manner.
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when communicating with clients and vendors
- Perform data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail to ensure database integrity
Experience
- Prior clerical or administrative experience preferred, especially in office environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and data entry systems required (ERP/SAP).
- Experience with front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, filing, and customer service is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy setting.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in customer support roles demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills.
