About Foundry Sunshine Coast
Foundry Sunshine Coast is currently in the planning and development phase, with a goal to open in 2027. Foundry centres provide integrated health and wellness services for young people ages 12–24. As we build our presence on the Coast, we’re focused on community outreach, youth engagement, and sharing updates in meaningful, accessible, and youth-centered ways.
Located on the stunning Sunshine Coast, BC, just a scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, this role offers the chance to spend your summer in one of the province’s most beautiful coastal communities. With easy access to beaches, forest trails, and ocean activities, your time here can include hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming—often all in the same day. The Coast also has a vibrant local scene, with farmers’ markets, cozy cafés, great restaurants, and popular cideries to explore. It’s an ideal setting for someone who enjoys both creativity and the outdoors.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a creative, motivated young person with training and talent in communications, digital media, film, or content creation to help us tell the Foundry story. In this role, you will design and produce engaging, youth-centered social media content—especially short-form videos and reels—that highlight Foundry’s mission, share updates with the community, and elevate youth voices.
You will receive support and supervision from the Foundry Sunshine Coast team, but we are especially seeking someone who is self-directed, able to work independently, and confident in taking ideas from concept to final product. You will work closely with youth in the community to ensure everything we create is fun, authentic, and youth informed.
This position is ideal for a 4th-year undergraduate or graduate student in communications, film, multimedia, journalism, marketing, or a related field who wants to build a strong creative portfolio while contributing to a meaningful community initiative.
