Licensed Automotive Technician (310S) – Duties & Responsibilities
Black Star Auto Inc. is looking for a reliable and licensed Automotive Technician to join our growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of makes and models.
- Complete safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet Ontario standards.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, and fluid replacements.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when required.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate repair recommendations and findings with management.
- Assist in mentoring apprentices and entry-level technicians when required.
- Support dealership vehicle reconditioning and inventory preparation.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: $28.00–$50.00 per hour (based on experience)

Commitment: Minimum 2-year commitment preferred.
