FutureBridge Learning is a fast-growing education consulting company dedicated to helping students access funding and educational opportunities across Ontario. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a professional, confident, and results-driven Debt Collection Specialist to join our team.
This role is responsible for recovering outstanding client balances while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service.
Duties
- Contact clients regarding outstanding balances via phone, email, SMS, and other communication channels.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement plans.
- Follow up consistently on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all client communications.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Escalate difficult cases to management when necessary.
- Work closely with the Administration and Finance teams.
- Resolve client concerns professionally while protecting company interests.
- Meet monthly collection targets and KPIs.
- Prepare weekly reports on collections performance.
Requirements
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency
- Experience using CRM systems is an asset
Preferred
- Previous debt collection experience
- Customer service experience
- Collections, finance, banking, or call centre experience
- Familiarity with payment plans and account management
