Join our lively ice cream shop team as a Crew Member, where you'll be the friendly face greeting customers and creating a fun, welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings with attention to quality and presentation and other food items
- Operate POS systems, for processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and credit card payments with proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food preparation and service areas
- Assist customers with their orders, upselling products to enhance their experience
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized work environment
- opening and closing of the shop
Skills
- Food handlers certificate required
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems is an asset, and cash handling skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Upselling skills to promote additional products and enhance sales performance
- first aid/CPR level C an asset
