Job Overview :-
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator GENERAL HELPER to join their team in Concord, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in producing high-quality metal products while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, must able to read measuring tape fabricating metal components, and operating fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities :-
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, mark, cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Operate fabrication equipment including shears, press brakes, band saws, drills, punches, grinders, and other metalworking machinery.
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding as required.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Metal Fabricator or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience operating metal fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- MIG and/or TIG welding experience is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
