Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, collecting accurate data, and supporting construction and development projects. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, GIS technology, and data management to ensure precise mapping and documentation of land boundaries and features. Duties
- Perform land surveys using traditional and electronic measurement tools to determine property boundaries, topography, and features.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data utilizing GIS software such as ArcGIS.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using CAD software like AutoCAD and CAD programs.
- Assist with construction staking and layout to support ongoing development projects.
- Manage survey data efficiently within databases and ensure accuracy in data entry and storage.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide precise survey information aligned with project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to verify survey accuracy and identify potential issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Maintain equipment calibration, perform field measurements, and ensure safety protocols are followed during fieldwork.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with AutoCAD, GIS (ArcGIS), and CAD software is essential.
- Construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in data collection, data management, and maintaining databases related to surveying projects.
- Knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and legal boundary determination.
- Ability to operate survey instruments such as total stations, GPS units, and levels accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for interpreting spatial data.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in land surveying are preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn on the job.
