Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our client in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical expertise to ensure optimal operation of plant systems. The Millwright will work closely with maintenance teams to uphold safety standards and improve equipment efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, dismantle, overhaul, align, and assemble machinery using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using analysis skills
- Analyze mechanical problems and troubleshoot errors and breakdowns
- Perform inspections; Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, gears, motors, and wiring
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders and maintenance tracking
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Maintain general maintenance of the plants some areas may include boiler systems, HVAC units, and low voltage electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and OSHA regulations during all maintenance activities
- Operate various machine tools such as lathes, drills, grinders, saws, hand tools etc.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize equipment performance
- Housekeeping of maintenance areas and support any other tasks as required
Experience
- 5+ years of proven hands on repair experience as a Millwright in a high volume manufacturing or production environment
- Red Seal Millwright License is required
- Ticketed skilled worder considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with PLC programming and electrical systems (including low voltage)
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management
- Background in industrial electrician work, manufacturing and production machinery or related fields is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics fluently in English
- Excellent perventative/predictive analysis skills to diagnose complex machinery issues quickly and accurately
- Prior experience working with industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and pneumatic systems is preferred
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure
- Proven ability to lead tasks or projects and take directions both independently and in a team setting

Pay: $38.00-$43.00 per hour
