Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a strong understanding of dental office operations. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining efficient office workflows.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Tracker.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and handle appointment requests.
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update electronic medical records accurately.
- Handle patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist with billing procedures, insurance claims, and payment processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment.
- Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental or medical office setting preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dental Office experience with administrative responsibilities is required.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Previous experience with insurance verification and billing processes is a plus.
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor essential for patient interactions.
Pay: $20.00-$31.56 per hour
