Medical Aesthetician — Subtle Enhancements
Location: Parkdale, West Toronto Schedule: Thursdays 12–7pm, Saturdays 10am–5pm to start, with room to grow to a third day within 6 months. We're also growing into Sunday hours, so weekend flexibility matters. Compensation: $22–28/hour based on experience, plus commission on services and products starting after 3 months.
About us
Subtle Enhancements is a nurse-led medical aesthetic practice in Parkdale. Beauty that keeps you looking like you is the whole idea, not overdone, not obvious. Consultations come first, treatments are personalized, and we'd rather tell someone they don't need something than sell it to them anyway.
Our team is small right now: two patient care coordinators, three nurses (Hilary and Claudia in Toronto, Arlena in Whitby), and one medical aesthetician and permanent makeup artist. We're growing, and we're looking for someone experienced who's ready to grow with us, not someone we need to train from the ground up.
This is a role for someone who genuinely wants to help build a small business, not just work a shift. We're figuring things out as we grow, which means some rolling with the punches, some pivoting, and a lot of room to bring your own ideas, help set up standard operating procedures, and shape how new treatments get rolled out.
Who we're looking for
You've got at least a couple of years of hands-on experience as a medical aesthetician, ideally with your own client following. You know your way around lasers, RF, microneedling, and facial massage, and you're comfortable with 60 and 90 minute custom facials rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment menu. You hold recent, relevant certifications and you're the kind of person who keeps learning.
You care about skin health as much as results, and you can explain the "why" behind a treatment plan clearly and honestly.
What you'll be working with
- Laser, RF, and microneedling (laser experience is a strong asset, we're looking for someone who wants to grow into full-time laser work and eventually run our devices)
- 60 and 90 minute custom facials
- Skincare lines including SkinCeuticals, EltaMD, and Colorescience sunscreens, plus Latisse
- Jet Peel machine with infusions (experience an asset)
- Extractions, cryogen, and lesion removal
- Strong massage technique across all treatments
Where this can go
We don't have a laser yet, but we're planning to bring one in, and we want someone who's ready to grow into running it full-time. There's also room to help us build out a custom membership program for clients. If you want a role that expands as you do, and as the business does, this is built for that.
