The June Motel is a boutique motel brand with two locations, Prince Edward County and Sauble Beach, an online shop and a Netflix TV series called Motel Makeover. REPORTING TO
In this role, you’ll report directly to the General Manager of The June Motel.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
A Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring The June’s service and brand standards are being upheld in the guest rooms and back of house. Duties will include cleaning guest rooms, assisting with laundry, and ensuring that all rooms and interior and exterior public areas are properly presented. A room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant and friendly.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean, dust, vacuum, and sanitize guest rooms
- Make beds, change sheets, and replace used towels and toiletries
- Clean bathrooms, windows, and other surfaces
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow all cleaning and sanitation protocols
- Deliver and retrieve guest-requested items (e.g., irons, ironing boards)
- Ensure guest room security and privacy
- Occasionally interact with guests and respond to requests in a friendly and professional manner
- Stock and organize supplies and storage areas
- Report maintenance issues as needed
- Maintain and care for cleaning equipment
- Assist with light landscaping and seasonal cleaning tasks
- Adhering to emergency and safety procedures and completing necessary reports
- Communicate with other departments to fulfill special requests
- Attend staff meetings to support communication and feedback
- Follow all health, safety, and service standards
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and push equipment
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, bend, twist, push, and perform other physical tasks as required
- Ability to work independently at a steady pace while maintaining quality standards
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
- Commitment to excellent service and exceeding guest expectations
- Comfortable interacting with guests
- Strong time management skills
- Comfortable communicating in English with guests and team members; we welcome applications from individuals learning English, clear professional communication is prioritized over perfect grammar
- Standard First Aid and WHMIS Certification are an asset
DETAILS & COMPENSATION
- Start date: July 2026
- Status: Part-time, seasonal
- Rate: Starting at$20.60 per hour based on experience (plus tips)
- Hours: Approximately 15-25 hours per week
- Number of positions: 3
