Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Participate in catering events as required, providing high-quality meal preparation and service
- Uphold standards of fine dining service through attention to detail in food presentation
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Experience with meal preparation, menu planning, and fine dining service is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
