Job Summary
We are seeking a Licenced Automotive Technician or Experienced 3rd year apprentice to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of vehicles and machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical and electrical skills to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Must have a valid drivers licence and have your own tools and tool box. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, etc
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for accurate repairs
- Conduct welding or fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Assist in the assembly or installation of new equipment or parts
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical, and engine diagnostics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely
- Welding or fabrication skills are a plus
- Previous mechanic experience with a focus on maintenance and repair of diverse vehicle types
