Position Summary
The Paralegal Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to adult learners in accordance with Ontario educational and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will support students through practical, career-oriented legal education and contribute to a positive academic environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and/or online instruction in paralegal courses
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide academic support
- Maintain attendance, grading, and academic records
- Ensure compliance with Akshar Academy policies and LSO standards
- Support students in preparation for professional practice and licensing requirements
- Participate in curriculum updates and academic meetings when required
Minimum Qualifications
- Paralegal or Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO)
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable industry/work experience
- At least 1 year of teaching experience
- Experience teaching adult learners preferred
- Teaching of Adults Certificate considered a strong asset
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Comfortable with online teaching platforms and LMS systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Ontario legal procedures and tribunal matters
- Ability to teach in hybrid or online environments
- Professional, organized, and student-focused approach

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
