Job description:
Unlimited Staff is currently hiring a Service Technician for a field service position in Sudbury, Ontario.
We are looking for a hands-on, reliable, and customer-focused technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and providing professional service directly at customer locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to service calls, diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring customers receive high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to daily service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and service work as required
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and ventilation-related issues
- Respond to emergency calls when required
- Participate in rotating weekend and after-hours on-call schedule
- Start the first job site on time each day and manage the daily schedule efficiently
- Complete service calls with minimal repeat visits or call backs
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and site contacts
- Identify and communicate possible equipment upgrades or service recommendations
- Maintain company-issued equipment, parts, tools, vehicle, uniform, and communication devices responsibly
- Represent Unlimited Staff professionally at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Technician, Appliance Technician, Maintenance Technician, Electromechanical Technician, HVAC Technician, or similar hands-on technical role
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting ability
- Experience repairing and maintaining equipment in a field service or maintenance environment
- Valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple service calls per day
- Comfortable using hand tools, repair tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs when required
- Must have basic tools or be willing to obtain them
- Gas Technician 2 licence is a strong asset

Experience:

- Appliance repair: 1 year (preferred)
