Field Service Technician — Roofing & Exteriors
$25–$40/hour (DOE) + Bonus | Company Vehicle & Fuel Card | Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role
We're an established exterior and roofing company looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Field Service Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work independently from start to finish. You'll handle a variety of residential service and repair jobs, working closely with homeowners and our production team to deliver excellent results.
What You'll Be Doing
- Roof leak inspections — diagnosing sources of leaks, documenting findings, and completing repairs
- Attic upgrade work — insulation, ventilation improvements, and related interior/attic repairs
- Roofing repairs, flashing, and soft metal work
- Vinyl siding, Hardie board, soffit, fascia, eavestrough and downspout repairs
- Caulking, painting, and general exterior repairs
- Identifying and completing deficiency and warranty/service work
- Completing inspection reports, photos, and safety assessments
- Walking homeowners through issues and solutions, delivering strong customer service
- Maintaining clean, safe, organized job sites
What We're Looking For
- 2–3+ years of experience in roofing or exterior construction
- Strong carpentry and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of best-practice roofing, flashing, and exterior building systems
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable with smartphones and job-management tools
- Good communication and customer-service skills
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Physically capable of demanding field work (lifting up to ~35 kg, climbing ladders, working outdoors in varying weather)
- Fall Arrest and First Aid/CPR certification (asset)
