Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to perform pipe cladding tasks on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective or decorative cladding to pipes, ensuring proper insulation and finishing. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Prior handyman experience and familiarity with blueprint reading are highly valued.
Duties
- Measure and cut cladding materials to fit pipes accurately using hand tools and cutting equipment
- Install pipe insulation and secure cladding using appropriate fastening methods
- Use caulking techniques to seal joints and ensure weatherproofing and insulation integrity
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure precise application of cladding
- Assist with related carpentry tasks as needed to prepare surfaces for cladding application
- Maintain a clean work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and according to specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience with construction, carpentry, or handyman work, especially in pipe or ductwork installation
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and measuring devices
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and insulation materials preferred
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
- Prior experience with pipe cladding or related finishing work is a plus
