KD Electric has been a full-service Electrical Contractor in the Kootenays since 1986. Providing first-rate commercial and industrial services, our reputation has been built on dedication and craftsmanship. Our team, located in Cranbrook, British Columbia, is built to provide quality and professional service throughout the East and West Kootenays.
We are currently seeking apprentices to join our team. Applicants should be efficient and safety-minded, with commercial construction experience and access to reliable transportation. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal oversight, yet also able to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with the construction industry standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Candidates should possess the following attributes:
- Commercial electrical experience
- Ability to work in a high stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
- Ability to follow instructions and a willingness to learn
- Demonstrate competence in the areas of safety and project execution
- Willingness to travel for out of town for projects
- Have a reliable vehicle for transportation
- Ability to show up on time or early
- Have a working cell phone
- Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Safety credentials are an asset (WHMIS, Fall Arrest, First Aid)
- Pass a criminal record check
