The IT Project Manager – Global Functions acts as a key partner to corporate functions (Human Resources, Customs, Communications, Legal and Procurement) to plan, coordinate, and deliver strategic technology projects. Reporting to the ITBP Manager – Global Functions, the role is accountable for delivering projects in compliance with PMO standards and organizational governance and compliance requirements. The incumbent works closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive value creation and ensure the successful delivery of initiatives in a context of transformation and growth.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and deliver technology projects aligned with organizational and business unit strategic objectives
- Define, maintain, and monitor project plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables
- Assume overall accountability for project delivery, including risk, issue, dependency, quality, and change management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective prioritization, coordination, and informed decision‑making
- Ensure availability, allocation, and optimization of resources required to deliver projects
- Monitor baseline deliverables, manage communications, and provide structured reporting to sponsors, governance bodies, and the Project Management Office
- Present project progress to governance committees and support phase‑gate and governance activities
- Coordinate the transition to operations, including deployment and post‑deployment activities, to ensure effective adoption
- Apply established governance frameworks, organizational processes, and compliance requirements
- Engage, coach, and supervise project contributors (IT teams, business experts, and support functions), including timesheet approvals
- Make necessary project management decisions in collaboration with key stakeholders
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- More than 8 years of project management experience (waterfall, hybrid, and Agile approaches)
- Recognized project management certification (PMP, ACP, PSM, or equivalent) considered an asset
- Mandatory hands‑on experience and strong knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of business, functional, and corporate processes
- Experience working in matrix organizational environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This range is determined based on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, a reasonable estimate for the salary range of this position is between $70,000 and $120,000. This position is currently open.
