Overview
We are seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers specializing as Pickers and Packers to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that orders are fulfilled efficiently and correctly. Responsibilities
- Select items from inventory based on order specifications using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes safely to load and unload goods.
- Pack products securely according to company standards, ensuring protection during transit.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment use.
- Maintain accurate records of shipped and received items within the warehouse management system.
- Assist in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and organization of warehouse storage areas.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying quantities and inspecting goods for damages.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals while maintaining safety standards.
- Follow construction or warehouse-specific procedures when handling specialized or heavy equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse distribution processes.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving operations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus for handling specialized tasks or equipment.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures using various types of heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of productivity.
