About the Role
As a Warehouse Control System (WCS) Sr. Developer , you will play a key role in delivering logistics technology solutions, including on-site deployment, integration, and testing of warehouse automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on-site implementation, deployment, debugging, and optimization of WCS solutions to ensure successful go-live and stable operations
Conduct user training and support adoption of the WCS platform
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to solution design
Develop, enhance, and unit test core WCS modules using Java-based technologies
Act as a technical liaison between software, electrical controls, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration
Support the implementation and optimization of warehouse scheduling algorithms to improve operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Strong proficiency in frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring MVC
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Logistics Engineering, Automation, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with WCS or warehouse automation system implementations
Familiarity with integration of warehouse hardware systems (e.g., AGVs, conveyors, stacker cranes)
Understanding of logistics control systems and equipment interaction
Work Model
This is an onsite role (5 days/week) based in Brantford, ON , driven by client and project requirements. Flexibility may vary depending on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $83,000 – $90,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications
Eligible for annual performance-based bonus
