Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telecom Linesman to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication lines and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and telecommunication equipment. This role involves working at heights using bucket trucks and operating various tools to ensure reliable communication services. The position offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects. less than 300m in length.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain telecommunication lines including fiber optics, copper cables, and related network infrastructure
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment safely to access elevated work areas
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all operations, including working at heights and electrical safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in telecommunication or network infrastructure installation and maintenance
- Electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage systems is highly desirable
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; certification in bucket operation preferred
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working at heights and electrical systems
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various outdoor conditions
- Relevant certifications or licenses for bucket truck operation, electrical work are advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in technical tasks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday full time
- Flexible part time hours
- Occasional on-call for weekends and holidays
