We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, blueprint reading, and various construction techniques. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment to deliver high-quality framing solutions. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects.
- Construct, install, and repair building frameworks including walls, floors, and roofs using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing as required for specific projects.
- Handle siding installation and restoration work to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate heavy machinery safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning large materials.
- Engage in welding and woodworking tasks to create custom components or reinforce structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met with quality workmanship.
- Assist with heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or construction work with a focus on framing.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, siding installation, and restoration techniques is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in woodworking or working with heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel requirements.
